The Importance Of Roof Ventilation
All most all are know about the basic ventilation. It is very simple and its definition is the flow of air through a system of intake and exhaust. So now the question is that why ventilation is so important for roof?
The main cause is that, building condensation issues are mainly build up by poor roof ventilation. Actually, ventilation only works when there is an air flow. According to experts, roof ventilation can be occurred naturally and mechanically. If someone want to make the airflow continue with mechanical process then it needs an energy source but in the case of natural ventilation, the stack effect and the wind effect work together to naturally circulate the air.
Actually, the stack effect occurs when the hot air rises and creates a higher pressure on the high point of the attic. When hot air escapes, it is called as exhaust. The thing is that, this air can’t be released without a proper inlet of cooler or low pressure air. When the air blows contrasting against the outside of any roof, it potentially increases the volume of intake and exhaust. Technically it is called as wind effect. Proper combination of intake and exhaust creates natural flow of air to make the attic well ventilated. At the present time, roof ventilation is made with mechanical process installing proper ventilation fans beneath the roofs.
